Another of our beta testers is getting the same error. Was the previous version working on this same computer?

Here's what I sent to him:

This error is usually caused by the .Net Framework (one of the Project Recon prerequisites) not being installed at all or not being installed properly. (see if it’s installed by going to the Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs, and looking down the list for “Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1”. If it’s already there, click on it and click “Remove”. Once it is removed, you can install it from scratch to clear up the error.)

Installing the .Net Framework

You can install the .Net Framework from Microsoft via Windows Update (www.windowsupdate.com - click the "Custom" button to see recommended updates), or you can download it directly from Microsoft. The third option (if you have a slow internet connection) is to look for a Windows XP installation disc, pop it in, click on “Perform Additional Tasks” and “Install .NET Framework”.

I can get it running okay, although it did crash on me after a bit.  Unfortunately I didn't have the time to document it.  I will if it happens again.
